Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will be in the boxing ring on Saturday, August 26th in Las Vegas, Nevada. Before those two square off in possibly the biggest and richest combat sports event of all-time, they’re going to embark on a four-day, multi-city world tour, with press conferences in Los Angeles, Toronto, New York City, and London.

The pay-per-view (PPV) price for the upcoming super fight between Floyd Mayweather and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight champion Conor McGregor — which is scheduled to go down inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Aug. 26, 2017 — has been revealed.

Boxing legend Mayweather and UFC megastar McGregor will feature in four press conferences across four straight days, in four major cities: Los Angeles, Toronto, New York and, finally, London.

Fight day coverage begins Saturday, August 26 on the FOX broadcast network and FOX Deportes at 6:00 PM ET with a one-hour PREFIGHT SHOW. Then, at 7:00 PM ET action moves into the ring with two hours of preliminary boxing bouts live on FOX and FOX Deportes, with the SHOWTIME PPV telecast commencing at 9:00 PM ET. The evening wraps up immediately following the main event with the FS1 and FOX Deportes POSTFIGHT SHOW. Coverage kicks off on Friday, Aug. 25 with the WEIGH-IN SHOW live on FS1 and FOX Deportes at 7:00 PM ET.

Helping build anticipation for the fight, FOX Sports presents the UFC TONIGHT Special: Mayweather vs. McGregor Press Tour live on FS2, with re-airs later each evening on FS1. The World Tour kicks off Tuesday, July 11 (5:30 PM ET) from Los Angeles; followed by Wednesday, July 12 (6:00 PM ET) from Toronto; Thursday, July 13 (7:00 PM ET) in New York; and wraps on Friday, July 14 (2:00 PM ET) from London’s Wembley Arena.

Floyd Mayweather says he can’t pay off his 2015 tax liability until after he gets money from his Aug. 26 fight against Conor McGregor.The boxer filed a Tax Court petition on July 5 that asks the IRS to allow him a reprieve until the fight.”Although the taxpayer has substantial assets, those assets are restricted and primarily illiquid,” the petition said, according to the legal website Law360. “The taxpayer has a significant liquidity event scheduled in about 60 days from which he intends to pay the balance of the 2015 tax liability due and outstanding.”

The press conferences are sure to be a perfect representation of exactly how UFC star McGregor has managed to wrangle a fight with one of the greatest boxers of all time.It begins on Tuesday in Los Angeles at the Staples Center with the folks over at Showtime Sports making all the press conferences available to watch live on their Youtube.The LA presser starts live at 9pm UK time and it promises to be a brilliant opener to the official fight hype.Up until now Mayweather and McGregor have traded verbal blows from afar with the Irishman’s favourite weapon his Twitter and Instagram accounts.But, fans will get the chance to see the combat sports superstars interact (on neutral ground as requested by Mayweather) from Tuesday until Friday.

These are no ordinary press conferences. Fans can attend for free but had to apply for tickets online, with organisers claiming almost 30,000 were given away for the LA and New York events alone.Tickets for Wednesday’s LA press conference are all gone and some are now being resold online for up to $US100 each.The New York event is also sold out while organisers had to switch venues in Toronto from the 3000-capacity Sony Centre to the 16000-capacity Budweister Stage. The London event is tipped to fill the 12,500-seat SSE Wembley Arena.

Although some were sceptical that the reservation had anything to do with the proposed Conor McGregor bout, it was later confirmed that the event would be aired on Showtime giving legs to the theory that the booking would be headlined by the proposed ‘super fight’.

Having said that, it’s not all bad news for those who want to see the fight take place as Dan Rafael of ESPN has reported that Mayweather retracted the MGM reservation simply because he now has his eye on the larger T-Mobile Arena instead.

“The source said the date is still the one Mayweather and McGregor plan to have their welterweight fight on, likely at the T-Mobile Arena,” Rafael wrote. “Once they have a deal, Mayweather Promotions can ask the commission to add the date request—typically a formality—to a future agenda.”

Addressing the MGM reservation on Monday evening, Ariel Helwani also stated that the T-Mobile was always the plan and that remains to be the case.

His promotional company have also reserved the arena on August 25 for a weigh-in.

The as yet unannounced fights the following evening will be shown on Showtime, Mayweather’s long-time broadcaster of choice.

Fighters from the Las Vegas resident’s stable are expected to feature on the undercard, including Badou Jack, who could face WBA world light-heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly.
